Kenya:
IFC pledges $ 600m for a East Africa regional oil pipeline - The International Finance Corporation (IFC), a lending arm of the World Bank, has pledged $ 600m to fund an oil pipeline in East Africa. The funding is part of a $ 1.8bn loan for projects in the Horn of Africa. The oil pipeline is expected to link up upstream operations in Kenya, Uganda and South Sudan.

New plans for the construction of the largest convention centre in Africa, unveiled Ministry of Tourism last week. Start of Construction: 2015; Costs: $ 561m, funded through a public-private partnership program (PPP) 

Many construction projects in Kenya, among them the government’s commitment to construct 10, 000 km of additional network, is set to increase demand for construction equipment.

The Addis Ababa City Roads Authority (AACRA) has set aside $ 331m for roads in the Addis Ababa city, Ethiopia. The city has a road network covering 4671 km, which is expected to be increased to 5275 km.

Ethiopia has begun the construction of a $ 246m park dubbed Hawassa Industrial Park

Tanzania 
Major upgrade of Mtwara port in Tanzania because of the oil and gas discoveries.

Burundi 
The African Development Bank (AfDB) has approved a grant of $ 29.49 m to Burundi to carry on with the Phase 1 of the Nyakararo-Mwaro-Gitega Road Improvement and Asphalting Project.
