CIBEX East Africa 2017 - Building and Powering East Africa

The fourth CIBEX East Africa will take place from 15th to 17th February 2017 at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre. New technologies, international know-how and current projects will be showcased to the regional industry experts. Locally supported by main industry associations such as the National Construction Authority and the Kenyan Federation of Master Builders and internationally promoted by IMAG, subsidiary of Messe München, CIBEX is again a must-to-attend event for the construction and infrastructure business community within the region. Official pavilions from Germany and Turkey are already confirmed.

CIBEX East Africa 2016 - The year of the best deals for exhibitors

Successful high level infrastructure trade fair took place from 1st – 3rd March in Kenya

This year’s CIBEX was a high level networking event for the construction and infrastructure industry. 51 participants from Austria, Denmark, Germany, Finland, France, Italy, Kenya, Madagascar, Poland, Switzerland and UAE showcased their latest products and innovations to the East African construction industry. Quality talks, arranged business deals and information exchange through an industry related conference formed the networking event in the Kenyatta International Convention Centre.

Trade professionals from Germany, Kenya, Tanzania, Oman, South Africa Ethiopia, Germany, Greece, Italy, India, Kenya, Oman, Philippines, South Africa, Uganda and UAE used CIBEX as business platform to meet international clients, potential partners and to gather information about new innovations. 1.376 trade professionals, authorities and government representatives visited the show over three days. CIBEX East Africa 2016 - International infrastructure trade fair from 1st - 3rd March in Kenya

In March 2016, CIBEX East Africa will open its doors for the third time to the complete construction and infrastructure industry of Kenya and surrounding countries. Trade buyers are welcome to network with international experts for information about new products and innovations. CIBEX East Africa 2016 – supported by IMAG, subsidiary of Messe München

Messe Munich joins CIBEX via its subsidiary IMAG as cooperation partner for international sales of the show. IMAG will support the show worldwide through their international network and partners. CIBEX East Africa 2016, which takes place from 1st to 3rd March 2016, is the 3rd international trade fair for construction, infrastructure, building and energy for the entire East and Central African region.

CIBEX East Africa 2015 - 31 % visitor increase and higher government participation.

CIBEX East Africa again proved to be the high quality business platform for the East African region. From 26th – 28th February 2015, 60 exporters showed their latest products and innovations to the construction, infrastructure, building and energy industry. The companies represented 16 different countries - Austria, Belgium, Ethiopia, Finland, France, Germany, India, Italy, Kenya, Poland, Spain, Taiwan, Tanzania, Turkey, United Arab Emirates and Uganda.

1.586 trade visitors and government bodies from Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania attended the exhibition and conference in the Kenyatta International Convention Centre – an increase of over 30 % compared to the first CIBEX in 2014. The exhibitor profile covered industry fields like building and construction equipment, construction machinery, renewable energies, environmental technology, heavy machinery equipment, architecture and interior. Attendees had the opportunity to take part at the CIBEX Matchmaking to get in contact with speakers and exhibitors to discuss investments and cooperation opportunities.

High level conference program at international trade fair CIBEX East Africa - 26th to 28th February at KICC, Nairobi, Kenya

In two weeks CIBEX East Africa will open its doors for the construction, building, infrastructure and energy industry. Exporters from over 17 countries will present their products and innovations from 26th to 28th February to trade professionals from the whole East African region. The three days conference program gives a view on important projects and plans in the East African region.

CIBEX 2015 covers industry fields like building and construction equipment, construction machinery, renewable energies, environmental technology, heavy machinery equipment, architecture and interior.  Attendees can use the CIBEX Matchmaking to get in contact with speakers and exhibitors to discuss investments and cooperation opportunities.

CIBEX East Africa 2015 - Increasing international presence in Kenya

In February 2015 the Kenyatta International Conference Centre welcomes all international interest of the construction, infrastructure, building and energy industry. CIBEX East Africa is the perfect meeting point for all industry members in Kenya, the hub of the region. Attendees will get in touch with potential business partners, gather information about the market and benefit from an international atmosphere.

Kenya and surrounding countries plan to invest millions of US $ into their degenerated infrastructure. A mega project which is already on the way is the LAPPSET Corridor project that includes a port in Lamu, a road network through Kenya, airports, oil pipelines and much more. The construction industry booms and so the international attention for Kenya is continually growing.

This development is also recognizable by the multitude of exhibiting countries at CIBEX. Besides a re-approved German Pavilion by the German Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy, also Turkey will be presented by a pavilion supported by IMMIB (Istanbul Minerals and Metals Exporters Association). Another country pavilion will be organized by UBI France, the French Agency for International Business Development in Kenya. Existing Partnership with the Kenyan Federation of Master builders intensified for CIBEX East Africa 2015 and future shows

CIBEX East Africa 2014 has been a great start with high end exhibiting companies and high level conference.  60 exhibitors from 13 countries met with 1.235 professional trade visitors in February 2014 at Kenya International Conference Center (KICC) in Nairobi/Kenya. Most of the groups have confirmed their next participation. The organizers, Trade and Fairs East Africa and planetfair Group, are pleased to announce their recently signed cooperation with the Kenyan Federation of Master Builders (KFMB) for 2015 and future CIBEX events. The planning for CIBEX 2015 has started with full swing, and other governments have shown interest for national pavilions.

The Kenyan Federation of Master Builders (KFMB) supported CIBEX since the beginning and will intensify their partnership for 2015. KFMB is a non-profit Contractors' Association established under the Societies Act of Kenya to protect the interests of SME and Local Construction Firms.  The chairman of KFMB Honorable Moses N. Muihia said after the first edition: „This is a great start of a quality show. We are happy to partner with the organizers and look forward to a fruitful CIBEX future”. 

The organizers further look forward to the continuing collaboration with the East African Community and the Kenyan Government, the National Construction Authority, Kenya Investment Authority, East African Business Council, Export Promotion Council, the Export Processing Zones Authority and the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Kenya.

Promising start of CIBEX East Africa 2014

The first international trade fair for the Construction, Infrastructure, Building and Energy Industry in East Africa took place from 11th to 13th February 2014 in the Kenyatta International Conference Center, Nairobi, Kenya.

60 companies from Belgium, Egypt, Ethiopia, Finland, France, Germany, Kenya, Poland, Tanzania, Uganda, United Arab Emirates and Zambia participated at CIBEX East Africa 2014 and were satisfied with the professional visitor profile and the high quality 3 days B2B-event. A highlight in the exhibitor list was the German participation with 15 companies from one of Europe’s leading economies. It was the first time ever that an official German pavilion was organized at a trade fair in East Africa. Patron was the German Ministry of Economics and Energy using the support of world’s biggest Engineering Association VDMA.

The show was regionally supported by the East African Community (EAC), the government of Kenya, the National Construction Authority, the Kenya Federation of Masterbuilders (KFMB) and the German Chamber of Commerce in Kenya. Other partners include the Federations of Masterbuilders or Contractors from Uganda, Tanzania and Ethiopia.

In three days, 1.235 professionals mainly from Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Ethiopia, South Africa, Nigeria and Kenya attended CIBEX to meet new suppliers, to establish new business relations and to gather information about new products and projects in the East African region.
